NFL: Ryan, new faces selling tix in Buffalo
The Buffalo Bills have sold more season tickets than at any time in their 55year history.
The team saidMonday that 57,500 season tickets have been purchased, beating the previous record of 57,132 set in 1992. Last season, the Bills sold 47,482 season tickets. With new coach Rex Ryan and such additions as running back LeSean McCoy and receiver Percy Harvin, there apparently is Bills fever in western New York.
MLB: Padres fire Black after disappointing start
The Padres, who began the season with high expectations thanks to a highprofile overhaul of their roster, fired longtime manager Bud Black on Monday after limping to a weak start.
The team said that it was immediately beginning a search for an interim manager to take over for the rest of the season. Bench coach Dave Roberts served as manager Monday night against Oakland.
NBA: Nuggets tap Malone as next coach
The Nuggets took 105 days to find their new head coach. Now that they’ve agreed to a deal with Michael
Malone, they’re off and running. Two people with knowledge of the deal said Monday that Malone agreed to take the job, beating out inhouse candidate Melvin Hunt. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because there wasn’t an official announcement.

After dealing with anxiety issues, former top10 player
Mardy Fish is going to give professional tennis another try. And this time, he’s bringing pal Andy Roddick along with him.
Roddick, who retired in 2012, and Fish will play doubles together next month at the BB& T Atlanta Open, where Fish is also going to attempt his latest comeback in singles.
Goalie Philipp Grubauer has signed a $ 1.5 million, twoyear contract to stay with the Capitals.
