Healthy, fresh Prince says his play

LIFE is good for Prince Amukamara. He cried tears of joy this past week when he became the proud father of a daughter, Princess Paisley Amarachi, now 6 days old. The torn bicep that cut his 2014 season in half is healing nicely. He said he loves playing in coordinato­r Steve Spagnuolo’s aggressive defense.

There are no more questions about Amukamara’s swag, no more hot- tub hijinks, and not even the fact that he is expecting no talks on a contract that expires after the 2015 season can wipe the smile off his face.

“I think any first- round pick would love to stay where they got drafted, and especially here. There’s a lot of great names here, so it’ll be great to be part of it,” Amukamara told The Post. “But the ball’s in my court. I have to make the shots. I have a lot of proving to do, and I’m up for it.”

He is up for proving to the Giants he is a $ 6.896 million bargain, confident that the best is yet to come as he enters the prime of his career and closes in on the treasured “shutdown corner” label. Maybe one day hewill have his own island, like Darrelle Revis. Prince Island.

He is one of the more indispensa­ble Giants now in a quarterbac­kdriven league.

“If I was a not proven first- round pick, I’m sure I would have been dispensabl­e,” Amukamara said. “But I think since I’ve shown promise, it’s kind of like, ‘ Ehhh, like we’ll take a chance on him.’ Obviously, I’m not indispensa­ble, because if I was, there would have been talks about a contract. That’s justmy opinion.”

This he said matter- of- factly. Asked his thoughts about his contract situation, Amukamara, who has six career intercepti­ons, had this to say: “To be honest, I haven’t even thought about it until [ you] brought it up, until you said about the indispensa­ble.
