GWB work over at last

Workers have finished replacing the steel deck panels on the George Washington Bridge’s upper level.

The work, which began in 2012, required the overnight closings of three of the four eastbound or westbound lanes.

The Port Authority said the $ 82 million project would extend the deck’s life by 15 to 20 years.
