Starbucks will close its 23 La Boulange cafes — more than half of them located in the San Francisco area — by the end of September, but will still offer some of the cafes’ food in its stores.

Stock in theworld’s biggest coffee chain rose by 28 cents, to $ 53.24, Wednesday.
