Message From the Terrorists

-

The world got a savage reminder Friday that jihadi terror is alive and well — with attacks on three different continents.

The mad butchers beheaded one man at a chemical plant in France and killed 37 on a beach in Tunisia. In Kuwait, a suicide bombing left 25 dead, and 30 more were slaughtered at a military base in Somalia.

Officials were trying to figure out if the hits were coordinated or perhaps inspired by a recent ISIS call for jihadis to make Ramadan a time of “calamity for the infidels” and to “conquer.”

Such bloody outbursts serve as a vivid reminder of the ongoing threat to the civilized world. The beachfront attack in Tunisia, at the site of a hotel resort, may have been designed intentionally to harm Tunisia’s tourism industry, which plays a key role in the country’s economy.

Coordinated or not, the terrorists are sending a frightening message: More than 13 years after 9/11, “no one can stop us.”

At the moment, ISIS — which did take credit for the Kuwait bloodbath — is leading the world in brutality, particularly in Iraq and Syria, but elsewhere, too. It’s also seeking to inspire lone wolves and terror cells throughout the world to act on their own.

Scariest of all: America doesn’t seem to have much of a plan to eliminate ISIS — or terror elsewhere.

Yes, Friday’s massacres took place overseas, far from Americans’ homes. But attacks on US soil — on 9/11, at Fort Hood, at the Boston Marathon bombing — proved that oceans don’t protect America. Until Washington steps up to the fight, the nation will continue to face a serious threat.
