The Bronx

A gym rat attempted to rape a 20yearold woman as she entered her apartment building in Bedford Park, police said.

The hulking creep trailed the woman home from the Dtrain station at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday and tried to strike up a conversati­on outside her building, cops said.

He then grabbed her buttocks, ordered her to take off her shorts and choked her until she passed out, police said.

When she regained consciousn­ess moments later, the pervert took off.

The suspect (above) wore a red polo shirt with a 24 Hour Fitness logo on the front and carried a black gym bag.

He’s 25 to 30 years old, 5foot3 to 5foot6 and may have scratches on his face from the struggle.

Two hoods beat and robbed a man in Hunts Point, authoritie­s said.

The toughs approached the 23yearold victim near Garrison and Bryant avenues on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. and punched him in the face, cops said.

One then snatched the man’s phone and the duo ran off, police said. The victim suffered a cut lip.

Both suspects are believed to be between 5foot6 and 5foot9, and wore white Tshirts and shorts.

This robbery attempt “bombed” out.

A crook struck out in her bid to rob a Longwood checkcashi­ng joint by claiming she was carrying explosives, authoritie­s said.

The amateur heister walked into CFSC Check Cashing on Southern Boulevard near East 149th Street at 4:45 a.m. on June 5 and slipped a note to a teller, cops said.

The note claimed she was carrying an explosive de vice, and demanded $50 and $100 bills. The thief lost her nerve, however, and fled emptyhande­d moments after plunking down the note, authoritie­s said.

The suspect stands about 5foot3 and was last seen wearing an orange sweater, gray sweat pants and a white skullcap.

Brooklyn

A crook knocked over a Clinton Hill bodega at gunpoint, according to cops.

The suspect (above) allegedly pulled a gun on a clerk inside Mr. Coco on Myrtle Avenue near Vanderbilt Avenue at 1:40 a.m. on June 10, police said.

The robber pocketed $1,200 from the register and ran outside into a waiting black vehicle, which then sped off.

Queens

A burglar tried to slip into a Forest Hills realty office but was foiled when a worker spotted him climbing through the window, cops said.

The suspect (above) lifted up the screen of an open window outside Garden Square Realty on Dartmouth Street near Tennis Place at 2:25 p.m. on June 8, and was about to let himself in when an office employee stepped in, police said.

The wouldbe thief took off running, and was last seen sprinting through the grounds of the nearby West Side Tennis Club, authoritie­s said.

The suspect is in his 40s and stands about 6foot1.

A 28yearold woman narrowly escaped a harrowing rape attempt in Woodside, authoritie­s said.

The suspect (above) trailed the victim into her apartment building at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday, followed her up to her floor and tried to pull down her pants as she unlocked her door, cops said.

The scrappy victim was able to beat back the creep, rush into her apartment and lock the door behind her, police sources said.

The persistent pervert tried to push open the door, but ran off when it wouldn’t give, authoritie­s added.

The victim was not injured in the attack. The suspect is in his late teens or early 20s, 5foot9 and 150 pounds.

Manhattan

The body of a man was found floating near the South Street Seaport Friday, authoritie­s said.

The corpse was spotted bobbing near Pier 15 at 9:30 a.m. Friday by a passerby who called 911, cops said.

Officers from the NYPD Harbor Unit pulled the body aboard their vessel and transporte­d it to Pier 11 near South and Fulton streets. The body showed no apparent signs of trauma.

The medical examiner has scheduled an autopsy.
