$100M LI ‘castle’ has salon, dollhouse, ‘river’

- By JENNIFER GOULD KEIL

A Long Island “castle” is on the market for $100 million.

The 87yearold stone mansion, along with two guest houses, is at the center of a gated 8acre waterfront compound in the Nassau County village of Kings Point.

Just 25 miles from the Big Apple, the mansion boasts unusual details, like a “lazy river in a cavernous space where water flows and people can float” on the lower level, a spokesperson said.

There’s also an indoor pool and a lap pool, as well as a twostory dollhouse.

After a quick swim, folks can head to the home’s hair salon and, once their locks are blowdried, crack open their favorite wines from the cellar and chill in the mansion’s winetasting room.

The home also features an in door racquetball court, a gym, saunas, steam rooms, Turkish baths and spatreatment rooms.

The interior — including the generously equipped kitchen (above) — showcases such pricey stones as onyx, lapis, agate and malachite.

Even the two guest homes are deluxe, with such features as an indoor pool, a bowling alley, a casino and a shooting range.

Of course, the new owners and their guests won’t want to spend all their time indoors.

The grounds also include an outdoor pool with a slide and “swimup bars” overlooking Long Island Sound, where a “private pier” can dock a 200foot yacht.

After swimming, one can play tennis and walk through the Japanese and English gardens and say hello to the fish in the koi pond.

Car collectors will be pleased to know that the property comes with a twolevel garage outfitted with a hydraulic lift.

The home was once owned by realestate mogul Tamir Sapir, a Sovietborn New York immigrant who died last year. The current owners bought the property two years ago for $15.85 million.

The broker is Diane Polland, of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
