The Bronx
Investigators released a surveillance image (above) of a suspect in the fatal shooting of a Bedford Park resident Sunday.
Cops found David Hooks unresponsive near the intersection of East 194th Street and Briggs Avenue just before 2:50 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Video shows Hooks and another man chasing the suspect down the street, only to turn tail when he wheeled around with a gun.
The video appears to show the gunman shooting at both men, though Hooks was the only one struck.
First responders rushed the 24yearold victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, but he could not be saved.
The suspected gunman, believed to be in his mid20s, stands about 5foot7, has a goatee and wore his hair in long braids.
Police on Friday released a description of a wanted gunman who wounded a foe last weekend in Belmont.
The suspect got into a heated argument with another man on Hughes Avenue at around 9:20 p.m. last Saturday, said lawenforcement authorities.
The suspect pulled a gun and opened fire, striking the 27yearold victim three times in the torso, the authorities said.
The victim is listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
The suspect has a medium build and was last seen wearing a baseball cap with his hair in two long braids.
Brooklyn
A 13yearold boy was mugged by a teen suspect (above) who stopped him to ask the time in Brighton Beach, cops said.
The victim was walking along Brighton 10th Street near the B/Q train tracks at 3 p.m. on Sept. 9 when the suspect approached and asked if he had the time, police said.
But then the creep overpowered him and went through the teenager’s pockets, authorities said.
The thief fled emptyhanded when he found the victim wasn’t carrying any valuables, cops said.
The suspect is believed to be in his late teens and stands about six feet tall.
A violent mugger bashed a woman over the head with a glass bottle Thursday night in Midwood, cops said.
The 62yearold victim was walking home from a trip to the store at 11:40 p.m. when the thug jumped her from behind on Ryder Avenue near East Second Street, police said.
He smashed a beer bottle over the back of her head, snatched her purse and took off running, authorities said.
The $400 Longchamp bag contained about $50 cash and assorted personal documents.
The victim reported suffering neck pain.
The squat suspect was described as about 5 feet tall and 150 pounds.
He has black hair and is believed to be about 18 years old.
A gunshot victim limped into a Williamsburg bodega for help early Friday, authorities said.
The 26yearold man stumbled into the deli on Metropolitan Avenue near Humboldt Street at 12:55 a.m. with a leg wound.
First responders rushed the victim to Woodhull Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police sources said he clammed up about the attack, refusing even to say where and when the shooting occurred.
Queens
A prowler broke into a Woodside Laundromat and pulled a knife on the owner, cops said.
The burglar pried open the front door of the Lung Fai Laundromat on Woodside Avenue near 58th Street at 7:10 a.m. Sept. 15 and slipped inside.
He sneaked behind the counter and swiped about $20 from the cash drawer but was interrupted when the owner walked in.
The suspect (above) pulled a knife and bolted past the owner through the door, cops said.
He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap and toting a plastic Duane Reade bag.
