Rock’s class of 2016

Rockers Nine Inch Nails, pop icon Janet Jackson and powerpop quartet Cheap Trick are among the nominees for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

The list of nominees announced Thursday leans heavy on 1970sera acts, including Steve Miller, The Cars, and disco titans Chic. Winners will be announced in December, with a New York induction ceremony set for April 8.
