Blas rival Eva out of ’17 race

The city’s largest charterschool operator — and a persistent thorn in Mayor de Blasio’s side — announced on Thursday that she will not run to unseat him in 2017.

At a press conference at City Hall, Success Academies CEO Eva Moskowitz — who in the past had fueled speculation about her potential mayoral candidacy — said she intends to focus on “educational activism” for the next few years.
