‘Stay tuned’ on gov audit

- Kirstan Conley

ALBANY — State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli told New Yorkers Thursday to “stay tuned,” echoing the words of Manhattan US Attorney Preet Bharara, when asked if he was auditing Gov. Cuomo’s economic development programs.

DiNapoli refused to elaborate in the wake of Bharara’s federal investigation into Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion revitalization program.

“We are going to con tinue, starting to look at the various economic development programs. And I would just say, as we often say, ‘Stay tuned,’ in terms of this office, the work that we’re doing,” DiNapoli said on Post columnist Fredric U. Dicker’s radio show.

The phrase “stay tuned” still echoes through the Capitol after Bharara indicated that he wasn’t done taking down corrupt politicians.
