2nd mistrial for Ashanti ‘stalker’
A Manhattan judge was forced to declare a mistrial for the second time Thursday in the case against the accused stalker of the singer Ashanti, who represented himself at trial once again.
After two days of deliberation, the jury couldn’t reach a unanimous decision on whether Devar Hurd was guilty of felony stalking.
At his first trial, a judge declared a mistrial after a juror got sick.
Hurd, 36, allegedly sent hundreds of sexually explicit tweets to the singer.
