Queen of accents

-

KATE Winslet (above) reminisced about her career at a Film Society of Lincoln Center tribute on Tuesday, including the time John Turturro called her before their 2005 film “Romance and Cigarettes” began shooting and said, “I don’t think your character should be American ... What other accents can you do?” Winslet demonstrated a repertoire of accents to a crowd at the Kaplan Penthouse, and added an impression of her “Steve Jobs” costar Seth Rogen. Turturro, Ned Rocknroll and Laurie Anderson were in the audience.
