David Cameron’s Courage: Telling the Truth on Terrorism
lBritish Prime Minister David Cameron’s speech excellently outlines a plan to combat terrorism (“The Way to Victory,” PostOpinion, Oct. 8).
Too bad it wasn’t written by President Obama.
Cameron understands the gravity of the growing menace of terrorism, as does Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Unfortunately, Obama appears more interested in playing politics with Congress than acting like the leader of the free world.
Perhaps the difference is that Cameron and Netanyahu are actually proud of their countries.

lCameron’s article lists the minutiae of terror that offends him, but doesn’t talk enough about the root cause — radical Islam.

lIn one short column, Cameron said more in regard to Islamic terrorism and its insidious threat than Obama has in seven, long agonizing years.
Too bad he can’t run for president. He gets it.

lPrime Minister Cameron mentions “preachers” teaching that Christians and Muslims can’t live together.
Will he arrest those preachers? Shut down the mosques that preach hatred?
When a Muslim state fails, the people flee to Christian countries to be saved instead of fighting to make their own country better.
Worse, they know their other Muslim neighbors will not take them in. Why?

lCameron provides an excellent blueprint for taking action against the intolerance of extremism.
In America, we, too, have been paralyzed into inaction against the supporters of radical madmen for fear of causing offense.
Passive tolerance in the guise of political correctness may well be our epitaph.
