Fisher: Jax and I talked about brawl

- By ZACH BRAZILLER zbraziller@nypost.com

Derek Fisher is done talking directly about his love triangle he wants the focus back on the Knicks triangle offense.

The Knicks coach, who got into a fight with Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes on Saturday in Los Angeles over Fisher’s relationship with his estranged wife — as first reported by The Post — told reporters after practice on Thursday he wants to move on from the incident and doesn’t plan to address it again until the “process” is complete. The NBA is investigating the incident involving Fisher, Barnes and “Basketball Wives LA” star Gloria Govan.

However, he did offer a few details. Fisher said he has spoken to Knicks president Phil Jackson about the dustup, but wouldn’t di vulge anything about the chat. He missed practice Monday because of a flight issue, not anything to do with the altercation.

He declined to say whether he will press charges against Barnes, who bragged, according to a source, “I kicked his ass from the back yard to the front room, and spit in her face.”

Fisher doesn’t have any visible marks on him.

Fisher does seem to regret that this offthecourt issue has taken attention away from the team’s task at hand: getting ready for the season after last year’s disastrous 1765 campaign.

“In terms of distraction and how players feel about distraction, et cetera, we’ll see how it goes for our team,” Fisher said. “It’s unfortunate. But it is what it is at this point.”
