GOLF: Kuchar leads by two at Fiji Internatio­nal Matt Kuchar shot a threeunder 69 on Saturday to maintain a twostroke lead after three rounds of the Fiji Internatio­nal in Suva, Fiji.

The world No. 16 had his best round of the tournament at Natadolo Bay Golf Club to finish the third round as the only player under par at 1under 215.

He remained two shots ahead of Australian Aron Price who also shot 69, and they appear set to contest the title on Sunday, with Australian Nick Cullen six strokes off the lead in third.

In San Antonio, defending champion Michael Allen shot a 3under 69 for a share of the lead with Scott McCarron in the Champions Tour’s San Antonio Championsh­ip.

McCarron also had a 69 to reach 6under 138 on TPC San Antonio’s AT&T Canyons Course.

The 56yearold Allen has seven victories on the 50andover tour after failing to win on the PGA Tour. The 50yearold McCarron is making his seventh start in his first season on the Champions Tour. He won three times on the PGA Tour. SOCCER: Chelsea, Man U prevail in EPL play

Chelsea and Manchester United bounced back from disappoint­ing losses with impressive wins in the Premier League.

Diego Costa, returning from a threematch suspension for violent conduct, put the Premier League champions ahead against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge, before defender Alan Hutton scored an own goal in Chelsea’s 20 win.

A victory was welcomed by Jose Mourinho, who is under pressure due to his side’s faltering start to the season. Chelsea lost its last match 31 at home to Southampto­n and Mourinho feels his team still has work to do to return to top form.

United won 30 against Everton at Goodison Park, with Morgan Schneiderl­in, Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney scoring in an emphatic response to the 30 defeat against Arsenal two weeks ago.

In Toronto, Ethan Finla and Federico Higuain scored to help the Columbus Crew beat Toronto FC 20 on Saturday. The Crew (14118) ended Toronto’s clubrecord winning streak at four games. Toronto dropped to 15144.

Reigning MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez will start from pole position in Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix after dominating qualifying on Saturday.

Spain’s Marquez, on a Honda, was fastest in all four sessions over the Phillip Island circuit and finished the second qualifying session 0.316 seconds ahead of Italian Andrea Iannone on a Ducati. Jorge Lorenzo of Spain, riding a Yamaha, was third.

The Jazz picked up the thirdyear team option for secondyear guards Dante Exum and Rodney Hood. The team also announced Saturday it has picked up the fourthyear team option for guard Trey Burke and center Rudy Gobert — both in their third year.
