Leno low on fuel?

-

HAS “Jay Leno’s Garage” run out of gas? The former “Tonight Show” host’s new CNBC show broke records with its premiere, then sank 25 percent in total viewers in its second show last week. “Despite all the promotion, it looks like the show isn’t sticking,” said a TV insider, pointing out it lost to its leadin, a “Shark Tank” rerun. The show follows Leno’s passion for cars and was dubbed a “decidedly lowemission ride” by Variety. Leno hosted “The Tonight Show” from 1992 to 2009 and returned in 2010 before retiring last year. A CNBC rep says, “We are thrilled and think Jay will lead CNBC in prime time to an eighth consecutive quarter of year over year growth.” So will the show roll this week, or get a flat?
