HEISMAN WATCH

-

RB Leonard Fournette, LSU Nothing can slow down the dynamic sophomore, not even Florida’s stifling run defense. Fournette treated the Gators like every other opponent, rushing for 180 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-28 victory.

QB Trevone Boykin, TCU Another flawless performance for the junior, 510 total yards, five touchdowns and hitting on 27-of-34 passes. Any other year, and Boykin would be the heavy favorite.

RB Christian McCaffrey, Stanford The son of former NFL wide receiver Ed McCaffrey ran his way into the Heisman race Thursday, ripping off 369 allpurpose yards — including a school-record 243 yards on the ground — in a 56-35 destruction of UCLA.

QB Seth Russell, Baylor The last Baylor quarterback — Robert Griffin III — to throw for 300 yards and run for 100 yards, as Russell did Saturday, won the Heisman.

RB Dalvin Cook, Florida State He’s averaging more yards per carry (8.7 to 8.0) than Fournette, and has just four fewer rushing touchdowns, partly because of a hamstring injury that cost him most of a recent game.
