GOLF: Grillo wins Frys.com Open in PGA debut
Emiliano Grillo of Argentina won his PGA Tour rookie debut Sunday at the Frys.com Open in Napa, Calif., by holing a 25foot birdie putt on the 18th for a 3under 69, and then making the most out of a second chance in the playoff to beat Kevin Na.
Bernhard Langer rallied to win the San Antonio Championship on Sunday for his second victory of the year and 25th overall on the Champions Tour. The 58yearold German birdied the final two holes for a 7under 65 and a threestroke victory over Scott Dunlap. … In Incheon, South Korea, Lexi

SOCCER: Beckenbauer denies alleged Cup bribe
Soccer great Franz Beckenbauer said Sunday he never paid anyone to secure votes for Germany’s 2006 World Cup bid following allegations that bribes were involved. Germany won the vote 1211 over South Africa in 2000.
