The ‘high’ cost of living in NYC

-

Some New York City dwellers are so determined to get high, they don’t seem to know, or care, that smoking marijuana in public can still get one arrested. A Post reporter observed six people openly lighting up doobies over the course of a few hours last week. The possession — but not public smoking — of 25 grams or less of pot was made punishable with summonses in the city this past November, but cops often let puffers off the hook with warnings or tickets.

I guess to some people, getting stoned relieves the pain of the city’s high cost of living and disintegrating quality of life.
