Handcuffed suicide on SI
A man committed suicide on Staten Island by tying a plastic bag around his head — then handcuffing himself to the steering wheel of his car so he couldn’t change his mind, officials said.
The unidentified man, in his 50s, was discovered at around 8:30 a.m. Monday in the car, which was parked by the JCC Lillian Schwartz Day Camp in Manor Heights.
He suffered from psychological problems, according to a friend.
