Emergency seeds moved to safety

LONGYEARBYEN, Norway — Thousands of food seeds from the “doomsday” vault in the Arctic that were originally kept in warstricken Syria have been safely delivered to Morocco and Lebanon, officials say.

It is the first time seeds have been withdrawn from the repository created in case of calamities.
