Keeping up with Adele
ADELE seemingly teased the world with 30 seconds of new music on Sunday amid rumors she’ll drop her first album since 2011 on Nov. 20. Sources tell Page Six that she’s also booked for upcoming appearances on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” and “Today” as well as a primetime engagement on the network. But while there’s also speculation that the superstar will embark on a massive world tour, another music source tells us Adele’s fear of flying may prevent her from hitting the stage in many international cities. On Sunday night in the UK, fans watchatching “The X Factor” saw a mysterious 30second clip with what sounded like Adele singing and the lyrics “Hello, it’s me/I was wondering/if after all these years/you’d like to meet me/To go over everything/ They say that time’s supposed to heal you/But I ain’t done muchh healing.” Adele, whose last US tour was cut short due to vocalcord surgery, said in 2011: “I’m probably thethe worst flier. I don’t take Valium or anything like that . . . I don’t want to be out of it if the plane crashes.” She hasn’t released a new song since 2012’s “Skyfall.” A followup to her smash 2011 album, “21,” is still in the works. The enigmatic Adele has yet to confirm details of her new project, and her rep and “Today” had no comment. An “SNL” rep said the show cannot confirm guests past Nov. 7.
