DAMN YOU, ‘DEMON’!

Qns. son gets life for murdering parents

- By KEVIN SHEEHAN and DANIKA FEARS

Calling him a “demon seed,” a judge on Tuesday sentenced a Queens drug addict who murdered both of his parents more than a year apart to 50 years to life in prison.

“I am convinced that you are definitely the demon seed clearly born into the wrong family, for in you resides an evil that has existed for years,” Queens Supreme Court Justice Kenneth Holder said of Gregory Cucchiara, 40.

“It is an evil that has allowed you to undertake an unimaginable crime, and then act as though things are OK.”

The killer, who represented himself at trial, was convicted Jan. 29 and given the max for choking and drowning his mom in a bathtub in May 2011, and smothering his father with a pillow in August 2012.

Cucchiara’s sister gave an emotional impact statement that her brother kept interrupting.

“You murdered Mommy. You murdered Daddy. You destroyed this family. You did that. You alone. Mommy and Daddy never once abandoned you, even after all the horrible things you did to them,” Francesca Ciaccio said.

“Daddy continued to support you even though he knew you killed Mommy.”

Ciaccio added that her family was “on guard” after their mom, Josephine, died — and their dad, Carmelo, did his best to protect them from Cucchiara.

“I remember one day in the summer of 2011, Greg showed up unexpectedly at my house, and my dad told me to take the baby and hide until my dad could get rid of him,” she recalled.

“So full of st!” Cucchiara shouted over her.

Ciaccio continued, “Are you even capable of beginning to understand that as they drew their last breath, they had to endure the knowledge that it was their own son ending each of their life?”

Prosecutor Jared Rosenblatt lashed into the killer as he asked for the maximum sentence, saying Cucchiara deserves “not a second more of freedom on this earth.”

“You told your sister she is full of st. Every word out of your mouth was that,” he said.

Cucchiara offered a brief statement: “May the Almighty Father take mercy on you all, for you know not what you did nor what you are doing. I’m done.”

Holder, whom Cucchiara also interupted at points, lamented he couldn’t give a harsher punishment.

“I would love to be able to sentence you to have no physical contact with any other person for the rest of your life in order to prevent the possibility of you making another you,” the judge said.
