No. 2 Kansas closes in on another Big 12 title
Frank Mason III scored 19 points and Landen Lucas had the tiebreaking layup as No. 2 Kansas won its eighth straight game, moving closer to a 12th straight Big 12 title with a 6660 victory over No. 19 Baylor on Tuesday night in Waco, Texas.
Perry Ellis added 15 points for Kansas, which has a twogame lead over No. 14 West Virginia in the Big 12 standings with three league games remaining.
Michigan St. 81, Ohio St. 62
In Columbis, Ohio, Bryn Forbes scored 27 points and hit six of his seven 3pointers in a 20point second half as the No. 6 Spartans beat Ohio State. Denzel Valentine added 17 points and eight assists as the Spartans won for the seventh time in eight games.
Kentucky 78, Alabama 53
In Lexington, Ky., Jamal Murray scored 23 points, Tyler Ulis added 19 and 10 assists and No. 16 Ken tucky pulled away from Alabama.
Senior Alex Poythress returned after a fivegame absence because of an injury to come off the bench and score 14 points, helping the Wildcats bounce back from Saturday’s overtime loss at Texas A&M.
Arkansas 85, LSU 65

Minnesota 83, Rutgers 61
In Minneapolis, Jordan Murphy had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Minnesota dropped Rutgers to 015 in the Big Ten with the Golden Gophers’ second conference victory.
D.J. Foreman had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Scarlet Knights, who turned it over 21 times and have lost 30 straight Big Ten games.
Saint Peter’s 61, Manhattan 40
In Riverdale, Quadir Welton scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Rodney Hawkins had a careerhigh 15 points and Saint Peter’s beat Manhattan. Zane Waterman scored 10 points for Manhattan.
Army 80, Boston U. 71
In Boston, Kevin Ferguson scored 18 points and collared 14 rebounds to help Army upset Boston University, for its fifthstraight victory.
