GWB ‘plotters’ to be unmasked

- David K. Li, Wires

A federal judge agreed Tuesday to identify the unnamed conspirators in the George Washington Bridge scandal, giving New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie one more headache as he works to help elect Donald Trump. Trenton federal Judge Susan Wigenton said there’s no reason why unindicted co-conspirators — as named by prosecutors in previous court papers — should have their names shielded.

“Although privacy for third parties is indeed important, this court is satisfied that the privacy interests of uncharged third parties are insufficiently compelling to outweigh the public’s right of access,” wrote Wigenton, who gave all parties 10 days to appeal her ruling.

It’s unknown who could be among the people allegedly in cahoots with two top allies of Christie (left) to snarl Fort Lee traffic near the GWB the week of Sept. 9, 2013.

Christie’s former deputy chief of staff, Bridget Kelly, and former Port Authority official Bill Baroni were indicted last year on wire-fraud and civil-rights deprivation charges.

They’ve pleaded not guilty in the plot, allegedly hatched as political payback against Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich.
