Marshall: Jets ‘OK’ with Geno, Petty

Brandon Marshall sounds like he’s coming to grips with the possibility Ryan Fitzpatrick might not be back with the Jets.

With Fitzpatrick’s contract stalemate grinding on with no end in sight, Marshall told The Post on Tuesday the Jets would “be OK” with Geno Smith or Bryce Petty at quarterback.

“Just seeing Bryce and Geno grow so much the last year is really encouraging, and I’m just proud of those guys,” Marshall said before being honored at a charity event in Chelsea. “We’ll be OK.”

Marshall has been one of the biggest public advocates of the Jets resigning Fitzpatrick after he led them to a 10-6 record while throwing a franchise-record 31 touchdown passes last season.

The Jets are refusing to give into Fitzpatrick’s demands for a market- value contract of $10 million or more, while Fitzpatrick’s only apparent leverage at this point — with no other suitors — is retirement.

Marshall, though, remains confident the Jets and Fitzpatrick will eventually come to their senses, even though time is running short with training camp less than three months away.

“It’s just business, and every deal is different,” Marshall said. “Some deals get done in three minutes or five minutes, while some take longer. And this is one of them. So I’m confident they’ll get it done. Ryan is a great teammate and a great leader.”

Former Jets linebacker Bart Scott criticized Fitzpatrick for chasing the money.

“Fitz don’t have a leg to stand on, man,” Scott said during an interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “He is who he is. You can have great teams and great records, but at this point, pretty much everybody knows who he is. He’s a quality guy. On another 20 teams in the league, he would be a backup. The only teams that he would start for are the teams that have bad quarterback situations. He’s a bridge guy, a glue guy.”
