‘New’ in Central Pk.

Central Park’s Hallett Nature Sanctuary, fenced off since the 1930s, will be open to the public through the end of the summer.

The 4-acre reserve has a new rustic gate and pathways, and will be open for several hours three days a week through June 30, and four days a week from July 1 through Aug. 31.

The area was originally called the Promontory.
