Muslim mayor tells off Trump

Newly elected London Mayor Sadiq Khan slammed Donald Trump on Tuesday after the presumptive GOP presidential nominee said the British leader would likely be exempt from his proposed ban on Muslims entering the United States.

“Donald Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both our countries less safe — it risks alienating mainstream Muslims around the world and plays into the hands of the extremists,” said Khan, the son of Pakistani immigrants.

He also told the BBC he’s pulling for Trump’s likely November rival, Hillary Clinton: “I hope she trounces him.”
