Weird BUT true

No “likes” for this. Residents of City Park Apartments in Salt Lake City received a notice that they had to “friend” the complex’s Facebook page as a condition of their lease.

“I don’t want to be forced to be someone’s friend and be threatened to break my lease,” tenant Jason Ring said. “It’s a violation of my privacy.” More power to ’em. A couple in Delta, Pa., say they were lost and cut a chain to access a private road they thought would lead them to a main drag — but wound up trespassing onto the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station instead.

Security stopped them before they could reach any dangerous or sensitive areas, officials said, and they were cited for trespassing.

A motorist was trapped in his car for three days in Arizona before being discovered by a pair of photographers.

The man’s Toyota FJ Cruiser had crashed in a secluded area of Mingus Mountain, about 10 miles south of Jerome, Ariz. The roof caved in, trapping him.

Luckily for the man, a couple stopped to take pictures of the area. They spotted pieces of the vehicle, leading them to the wreck.

A man in Groesbeck, Texas, called cops to report he had been shot in the left buttock while sitting on his porch, authorities said.

When officers showed up, they found the man had been smoking pot — but hadn’t been shot at all.

Instead his dog got spooked by thunder and bit its owner, officials said.

A Birmingham, Ala., police officer came to the rescue of a man fleeing gunmen — but then needed to be rescued himself.

The cop responded to a man who said he fled into the forest escaping two armed men. The officer found the distressed caller, but couldn’t find his way out.

They were lost for three hours before police dogs located them.
