A “wild and crazy” driver speeding on a rain-slicked Long Island road slammed into another car, killing at least four people while a baby miraculously survived, cops said Tuesday.

The deadly collision happened Monday when a southbound 1990 Chevy pickup truck driven by 25year-old Gustave Geyer veered into the northbound lanes on Yaphank Middle Island Road at about 10:45 p.m., police said.

Geyer’s Chevy slammed into a 2014 Nissan Altima, which had four adults and an 11-month-old baby inside, police said.

Geyer and three of the Altima’s occupants were killed, police said.

Maria Keskes, 75, who lives down the block from the crash scene in Yaphank, said it sounded like a bomb had exploded.

“I was about to go to bed and I heard a big, big ‘boom!’ ” Keskes told The Post. “I knew it wasn’t fireworks.”

Five people called 911, with at least one reporting Geyer had been driving erratically just before the crash, Suffolk County Police Chief Stuart Cameron said.

“Based on witness statements that we have, he was described as operating in a wild and crazy manner prior to the accident,” Cameron said. “He passed a car in a no-passing zone at what was described as a high rate of speed above the [40 mph] speed limit.”

Cops didn’t immediately know if Geyer, of Ridge, LI, had been drinking.

“That [the role of alcohol] is yet undetermined and that will be a part of the investigation,” Cameron said. “We do believe the driver of the pickup truck was coming from a [social] gathering.”

Both Cameron and Suffolk Police Commissioner Timothy Sini called Geyer’s driving “reckless.”

The roads were slick from Monday night’s rain.

“Based on the witnesses to this crash and the physical evidence, it appears that the driver of the pickup, Gustave Geyer, caused the accident,” Sini said. “Hee was driving at excessive speeds and driving recklessly.”

The Altima’s driver, who ap-appeared to be in his late 30s and was the baby’s dad, wass killed, cops said. The otherr two fatal victims in the Al-tima were a man and a woman in their 70s.

The surviving adult, thee baby’s mom, was rushed too Brookhaven Memorial Hospi-tal Medical Center with life-threatening head injuries andand burns, officials said. The baby was taken to Stony Brook Univer-sity Hospital, authorities said, and was expected to survive.

The pickup landed on itss top and the front half of the Altima was virtually obliterated.

“It was sickening, and very, very sad,” Keskes said.
