Rangers go deep to blast Bosox

Shin-Soo Choo homered on David Price’s first pitch of the game, and Elvis Andrus scored to break a sixth-inning tie as the Rangers beat the Red Sox 7-2 on Tuesday night in Boston to snap a threegame losing streak.

Robinson Chirinos added a three-run homer in the ninth as the Rangers scored four runs off All-Star selection Craig Kimbrel. The closer was one of six Red Sox players selected for the AL roster.

Blue Jays 8, Royals 3

In Toronto, Josh Donaldson hit two solo home runs, Troy Tulowitzki had a three-run blast and the Blue Jays connected four times to beat the Royals.

Indians 12, Tigers 1

In Cleveland, Lonnie Chisenhall was 4-for-5 with three RBIs, Carlos Santana and Tyler Naquin homered, and the Indians remained perfect in 11 games against the Tigers this season.

In Washington, Hernan Perez hit a tiebreakin­g tworun homer in the sixth inning to back an effective pitching performanc­e by Zach Davies, and the Brewers beat the Nationals to clinch their second road series win of the season.

Reds 9, Cubs 5

In Chicago, John Lackey’s winless streak stretched to five games, Cubs manager Joe Maddon was ejected and the Reds won behind Zack Cozart’s 13th home run.
