NFL: Fitzgerald, Palmer re-sign with Cardinals Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and quarterbac­k Carson Palmer have signed one-year contract extensions with the Cardinals. The deals put Fitzgerald, who turns 33 on Aug. 31, under contract through the 2017 season and Palmer, 36, through 2018. NBA: Nets sign three from summer league team The Nets announced they signed guard/forward Beau Beech, guard Yogi Ferrell and center Egidijus Mockeviciu­s Friday. All three players were members of the Nets’ 2016 summer league team in Las Vegas. Terms of the deals were not released. MLB: Athletics suspend strength coach The Athletics suspended strength and conditioni­ng coach Mike Henriques after it was discovered he hid a camera inside the weight room at the Coliseum in Oakland, Calif. Henriques said he set up the camera to watch players working out and rehabilita­ting from injuries.
