DT’s ‘too divisive’ for Ohio

-

Ohio Gov. John Kasich predicted on Sunday that Donald Trump would have a “really, really difficult” time winning the battleground Buckeye State.

Continuing to withhold his endorsement, Kasich said his former primary rival’s divisive campaign would keep him from taking the state in November. “He’s going to win parts of Ohio where people are really hurting,” he told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “But I still think it’s difficult, if you are dividing, to be able to win in Ohio.”

No Republican has won the presidency without Ohio.

Kasich, who skipped the GOP convention in Cleveland, has blasted Trump’s comments against Mexican immigrants, Muslim Americans and, most recently, the Gold Star Khan family.

He won’t vote for Hillary Clinton but said he’s unsure what to do in November.

“This is very disturbing and alarming to me,” he said. “I shouldn’t say alarm, it’s not alarming. I wish that I could be fully enthusiastic. I can’t be. So I don’t know what’s going to happen at the end.”
