Clinton builds 8-point lead

Hillary Clinton has opened a substantial postconvention advantage over Donald Trump, a new poll showed on Sunday.

The former secretary of state leads the Manhattan developer, 50 percent to 42 percent, in a two-way poll conducted by ABC and the Washington Post.

Three weeks ago, before the party conventions, Clinton led Trump by 4 points, 47 percent to 43 percent.
