These parkgoers won’t yield to the shield.

Despite America’s obsession with comic-book superheroes, Brooklyn nature lovers are less than impressed with a 13-foot-tall Captain America statue that will be temporarily installed at Prospect Park next week.

Green activists say the space was designated “commercial-free” by the city and that Marvel’s billiondollar franchise is as commercial as it gets.

The 1-ton bronze figure will be unveiled Wednesday — at the Children’s Corner, near the carousel — to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Brooklyn-born Steve Rogers character, better known as Captain America.

“Are they going to put a McDonald’s here, too, and a Walmart?” asked park enthusiast Katie Maitland.

“It’s not like Marvel has any relation to this park,” added Jakob Carter, who was relaxing on a bench.

“You want to maintain the serenity, calmness and beauty of the park,” said Dinah Krenitski, who was on a walk with her son.

After the leader of the Avengers ends his two-week stint in Prospect Park, the statue will move to the plaza outside Barclays Center, where it will stay through September.

From late October through the end of the year, it will appear outside a new Bed Bath & Beyond in Sunset Park.
