SOME cats love dogs — at least, many actors in Broadway’s “Cats” do. After shows they leave their feline personas in the Neil Simon Theatre dressing room and cuddle at home with their canines. We asked a few of them to stay in character and show us the dogs who love them, whiskers and all. As for their own breed: Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, who has four cats and one dog, took his cue from T.S. Eliot, who dubbed these theatrical creatures Jellicle cats. MR. MISTOFFELEES ( RickyUbeda) Feline features: He’s the most acrobatic cat in the yard (not surprising: Ubeda’s a “So You Think You Can Dance” star). The dog: Riot, an 8-week-old goldendoodle Back story: “Me and my partner wanted to get a dog for a while, but weren’t sure about the breed. My friend Melanie told us about a place in Rochester, and we did some research and fell in love with their dogs. [Since] my name is Ricky and my partner is Reed, we stuck with an R.” Talents: “He’s a very good snuggler. He really gets into all the little spaces he can, and loves to cuddle with us.” Any cat friends? “Not yet. But he has me!”

VICTORIA (Georgina Paz cogu in)

Feline features: The only all-white cat in the show, she’s also a ballerina who performs a pussy pas de deux.

The dog: Jett, a 3-yearold Boykin spaniel mix

Back story: “My sister and I adopted a black Lab, but she moved to LA with him. I wanted to adopt another but I was a New York City Ballet soloist and no [shelter] understood my schedule. I came across a Craigslist ad with an adorable picture. My boyfriend at the time said, ‘Do not call that number!’ But I did . . . Jett saw me from 25 feet away and walked toward me. I took her home, and she’s been my little monster since.”

Talents: “NYCB lets us bring our dogs to work, and she’s been known to watch the monitor in the dressing room when I’m onstage dancing. I think she recognizes the music.”

Any cat friends? “She’s very interested in them, but she’s high energy. I think she freaks them out!” DEMETER (MadisonMitchell)

Feline features: As Demeter, she does a lot of kicks and introduces Grizabella, the “Glamour Cat.”

The dogs: Nessa, a 10-year-old teacup poodle (far left), and Tobias (Toby), a 9-year-old poodle/bichon mix

Back story: “We’re a musical-theater family — my sister’s in the chorus of ‘Les Miz’ — so we name our dogs after characters in musicals. Tobias comes from ‘Sweeney Todd,’ Nessa from ‘Wicked.’ We’ve always had poodles and got Nessa from a breeder. My sister found Toby at a no-kill shelter in LA. When [my sister and I] come home from our shows, we take them for a walk. On a two-show day, we have a dog walker.”

Talents: “Sleeping! Toby is a really quirky dog who sits like a human and sounds like he’s crying. Nessa is nocturnal — she sleeps all day and eats one food pellet at a time, usually on top of me and my sister while we’re sleeping.”

Any cat friends? “No. I’m allergic to cats!”
