‘Star Wars’ sex romp

-

MARK Hamill nearly caught his “Star Wars” co-stars Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford having a steamy affair while they filmed their breakout 1977 blockbuster. But Ford was so suave, he threw Hamill off the scent. Fisher writes in her new book, “The Princess Diarist” — in which she revealed the bombshell that she and then-married, older Ford began an affair at a boozy birthday bash for George Lucas — that, “Once, on one of the rare occasions when we did have a sleepover at Harrison’s apartment, Mark ... dropped by unannounced.” It was 11 a.m., and, “Clearly I hadn’t just dropped by for brunch.” Unshaken, Ford took Fisher’s hand and solemnly declared with Hamill there, “We’re engaged.” “It was hiding in plain slight,” Fisher recalls, “mocking the suggestion there was anything going on . . . a technique I like to use to this day.” But in private, she recalls of Han Solo, “God, he was just so handsome. No. No, more than that. He looked like he could lead the charge into battle, take the hill, win the duel, be leader of the gluten-free world, all without breaking a sweat.” Sadly, she says she can’t recall too much about their three-month affair because, “It is the memory loss that comes with marijuana use.” Reports have wrongly said that Fisher branded Ford in the book as being bad in bed. In fact, she writes, “How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me? . . . The fact is that he was!” And that they had “friendly feelings and wonderful sex.” But as far as any gory details, she adds: “Sex is private” and, “So it is with uncharacteristic reservation and scruples that I quash any details.”
