Weird BUT true

Later, gators. Two crocodiles were swiped from a mobile petting zoo in Sydney, Australia. The reptiles, named Snap and Crackle, went missing from their cages in Sandy Point around 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, police said.

If you see them, steer clear. Zoo owner Daniel Brighton described the pair as “the crankiest” crocs at the park.

They were left in the dust. A stranded traveler got video of a massive swirling dirt devil that halted traffic on a Chinese roadway Thursday.

Some impatient motorists showed the courage of the late Bill Paxton in 1996’s “Twister,” and managed to steer their way around the whirlwind.

Grand theft bizarro. A Florida man found a complete stranger asleep in the driver’s seat of his Chevrolet Blazer with a wrench jammed in the ignition.

The man called Key West cops — who arrived to find Donald Geib, 39, still snoozing away.

Geib said he had permission to nap in the SUV. Cops still charged him with criminal mischief, burglary, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Almost as dramatic as the burning bush in Exodus.

Jim Probst was walking his dog through a St. Louis cemetery at about 6 a.m. Wednesday when he saw a tree glowing orange. The demonic-looking sapling was still burning hours after it was evidently struck by lighting.

He was sleeping at the job.

A Rhode Island man set up a full bedroom at his workplace, complete with a large bed, nightstand, slippers and coffee maker.

The Cranston Highway Department worker had recently sold his home, but instead of finding new digs, he brought his things to the building’s second floor.

City administrators said the worker was disciplined for his home away from home.
