FBI Director James Comey revealed yesterday why the investigation into Clinton was reopened — because serial sexter Anthony Weiner had her e-mails.
Comey sick over role
FBI Director James Comey said Wednesday he feels “mildly nauseous” when considering that he may have swayed the presidential election by disclosing new findings about Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server less then two weeks before Election Day.
“It makes me mildly nauseous to think we might have had an impact on the election, but honestly, it wouldn’t change the decision,” Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee in an impassioned explanation of his controversial actions.
When confronted with the existence of new classified Clinton e-mails, Comey said he had two options: either confirm a renewed investigation or conceal it.
“There’s an election in 11 days. Lordy, that would be really bad. Concealing my view would have been catastrophic, not just to the FBI, but well beyond,” Comey said.
He claimed he had to notify Congress in a letter about the new e-mails on Oct. 28 without regard to the upcoming presidential vote.
“Everybody who disagrees with me has to come back to Oct. 28 with me and stare at this and tell me what you would do. Would you speak or would you conceal?” he asked the senators.
Responding to criticism that he went public about reopening the Clinton probe but remained silent about an ongoing investigation into the Trump campaign’s connections to Russian officials, Comey said he believed he had to come clean because he announced months earlier that the FBI concluded its Clinton examination.
Comey’s Senate appearance came a day after Clinton claimed she would have won the election but for Comey’s October surprise.
