For Jeter’s big day, Yanks will play 2

- By DAN MARTIN and GEORGE A. KING III

Derek Jeter will get his own doubleheader on Sunday.

The Yankees postponed their game against the Astros on Saturday due to the forecast of bad weather and it will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday, beginning at 2:05 p.m., with the gates opening at 1 p.m.

The Jeter-related ceremonies still are due to begin before the second game, no earlier than 6:35 p.m., and the second game won’t begin before 7:35 p.m.

Only tickets for Sunday’s game will be accepted for the doubleheader. Fans with tickets to Saturday’s game may exchange their paid tickets for any regular season game at Yankee Stadium through the end of the 2018 season (subject to availability). Sunday’s doubleheader already is sold out.

YES will broadcast the first game of the doubleheader on Sunday, while ESPN will broadcast the second game.

Aroldis Chapman has had two straight subpar outings, during which he was pulled from each game. And though that is puzzling, other parts of the Yankees’ bullpen continue to work well.

Adam Warren has not allowed a run in his past five outings (8 ¹/3 innings) or an earned run in the previous six (10 innings). Warren, who with Tyler Clippard has provided depth in a role Andrew Miller dominated in a year ago, is one of two MLB pitchers who has seven scoreless appearances in 1 ¹/3 or more innings. The Cubs’ Mike Montgomery is the other.

In 11 games, Warren has a 0.47 ERA, which is tied for fourth among relievers with 15 or more innings of work. Anthony Swarzak, Wade Davis and Miller haven’t given up an earned run this year. Going into Saturday’s action, Warren was tied with the Pirates’ Felipe Rivero.
