Oscars II for Kimmel

Despite joking that he would never get asked back, Jimmy Kimmel is set to host the Oscars once more.

“Thanks to @The Academy for asking me to host the The #Oscars again (assuming I opened the right envelope),” Kimmel tweeted Tuesday, poking fun at the controversy that surrounded this year’s event.

Ratings for the 89th Oscars this past February were the lowest since 2008, even with the drama of the envelope gaffe in which Faye Dunaway, reading an incorrect card, announced “La La Land” as Best Picture.
