Blue collar comedy encore

A reboot of family sitcom “Roseanne” (which previously had a nineseason run on ABC) is officially a go for 2018, with the original cast — including Roseanne Barr and John Goodman — reprising their roles for the eight-episode series.

“The Little Mermaid Live!”

ABC is following NBC and Fox into the musical game with a live-action/ animated hybrid that intertwines the beloved 1989 Disney movie with celebrities performing its popular song catalog. The live two-hour special is set for Oct. 3.

“Dancing With the Stars Junior”

Does the foxtrot fall from the tree? This pint-sized spinoff of the veteran franchise pairs celebrity kids (and kids of celebrities) with professional junior ballroom dancers to perform choreographed routines. Debuts next spring.
