Diane Kruger snags sleek Tribeca loft for $4.2M,
ACTRESS Diane Kruger is on a roll. Not long before winning the Cannes Film Festival’s best actress award for “In the Fade” in May, the German-born actress closed on a $4.2 million loft, as first reported by Women’s Wear Daily. Gimme Shelter has learned the full-floor two-bedroom unit is on White Street in Tribeca (above left).
Kruger received a “celebrity discount” on her pricey pad, which was originally asking $4.65 million. ( Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel also scored a celebrity discount — of $7 million — for their $20.18 million penthouse at 443 Greenwich, as Gimme Shelter previously reported.)
Kruger’s new apartment is in an eco-chic boutique building that dates to 1869 and features just six units. Her new 1,943-square-foot pad has ceilings over 11 feet high, a large living/dining room, re- claimed oak floors, oversized windows and an original brick wall. There’s also a chef ’s kitchen, mud room and a laundry room. The apartment is additionally smart-wired with a serious security system in place. Building amenities include a gym, storage and a lounge with a plant wall.
This deal comes around the time that Kruger, 40, sold her East Village pad in a walk-up building at 315 E. 12th St. for $1.11 million — far above its $985,000 asking price, as we previously reported.
She also has her West Hollywood, Calif., contemporary home — which she shared with her ex, Joshua Jackson of “The Affair” — on the market for $6 million. She is currently dating Norman Reedus of “The Walking Dead.”
The listing brokers of the Tribeca unit were Core’s Emily Beare and Shaun Osher.
