Faux pa ‘swore’ he was real deal

- By REBECCA ROSENBERG and BRUCE GOLDING

Jeffrey Rackover signed a sworn affidavit supporting the claim that he’s the “biological” father of his muchyounger gay lover — even though he knows it’s not true, Pat Comunale’s suit says.

On March 16, 2015, Rackover formally consented to letting excon James Beaudoin II change his last name to Rackover, according to papers filed in Manhattan Civil Court.

James, then 23, claimed the move was “part of my continued pursuit to change my life for the better” following a string of arrests in his home state of Florida — culminating in a 1¹/2-year stretch in prison for burglary.

James said he no longer wanted to carry the name of Beaudoin in part because the man with that name “abandoned my mother Erin Kathleen Boyd and myself.”

James also claimed that while he was raised to believe that Beaudoin was his dad, that wasn’t the case.

“In September 2013, I learned that James Arthur Beaudoin was not my real father,” he wrote. “Rather, Jeffrey Rackover is my father.”

In the name-change case, Jeffrey identified himself as James’ “parent,” and a judicial work sheet signed by both James and Civil Court Judge Alexander Tisch said James was “changing last name to biological father’s last name.”

But Comunale’s suit against Jeffrey Rackover says that the statements made by him and James “were false” and that James changed his name “by nefarious means” and for unspecified “nefarious purposes.”

James’ mother, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, hung up when contacted by The Post, and James Beaudoin didn’t return messages seeking comment.

Lawyer Ryan Lawler, who handled James’ name change — and affirmed the claims of James and Jeffrey — also didn’t return messages.
