Viral teen guilty of theft and more

The teen who made a name for herself with the catchphrase “Cash me outside” pleaded guilty to several charges in a Florida juvenile court Wednesday. Danielle Bregoli Peskowitz, 14, copped to charges including grand theft, marijuana possession and filing a false police report, which stemmed from an incident predating her 2016 appearance on the “Dr. Phil” show, where her catchphrase, “Cash me outside, how bout dah?” went viral.

The teen and her mother, Barbara Bregoli, were flanked by two bodyguards as they exited the courtroom in Delray Beach, according to local station WPBF.

On different occasions last year, Danielle was accused of stealing her mother’s purse, her mother’s car and falsely reporting to police that her mother was using heroin by spreading powdered sugar on a bathroom counter and describing it to cops, according to WSB-TV in Atlanta. This year, Bregoli was found in a car with marijuana.

Her father, Ira Peskowitz, was also in court and asked the judge to restrict his daughter’s Internet access. The judge denied the request.

“My daughter is being exploited,” Peskowitz said after court, adding that he feared Danielle was being groomed for a career in pornography by people who want to cash in on her bizarre celebrity.

Peskowitz is fighting for custody of his daughter, who lives in California with her mother.

The teen and her mother were banned for life from Spirit Airlines after beating a female passenger on a flight out of Los Angeles in February.

Palm Beach County Police also investigated an altercation outside a bar in late February where one of Danielle’s friends hurled ice cream at a woman for suggesting Danielle was out past her curfew.

Earlier this month, Danielle, her mother and their company, Dani B Holdings LLC, filled a trademark lawsuit against developers of apps bearing the teen’s catchphrase.

Danielle’s “summer tour,” which was devised despite her not having any known talents as an entertainer, was recently postponed indefinitely.

The teen became famous following her appearance in a “Dr. Phil” segment called “I Want to Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-year-old Daughter Who Tried to Frame Me For A Crime,” where she uttered her seemingly incoherent catch phrase.

That appearance resulted in a massive social-media following, sponsored-content deals and a reported TV deal for the controversial teen, who’s due back in court next month.
