Suspect sobs: My pal did it – not me

- Ross Toback

One of the young men accused in last week’s gang sex attack on a Queens churchgoer cried like a baby on Sunday, claiming he never laid a hand on her and pinning the blame on one of his fellow suspects.

Speaking in an exclusive Post jailhouse interview, Brandon Walker, 20, insisted it was his friend Justin Williams, 17, who was responsible for the Tuesday attack, in which police say four men sexually assaulted a woman as she was returning home from the Celestial Church of Christ in Jamaica.

“It is a horrible situation I am in here. People in here threaten me because they see the news,” Walker blubbered at the Vernon Bain Correction Center, a Bronx jail barge.

“They’re all out to get me for something I never did. Just the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Although he admitted being at the scene, Walker said the incident was “all Justin Williams’ fault.”

“I was walking way behind him, not with him, just smoking a cigarette and I saw him force this woman behind a truck,” Walker said.

“I kept telling him to stop. He went way too far. He shouldn’t have done any of that, he had a gun in his hand and forced her to the ground. He wouldn’t listen when I told him to stop.”

Walker said Williams “went crazy that night.”

“I think he didn’t take his meds,” he added.

His account conflicts with that of Williams, who in a jailhouse interview on Saturday admitted to being the first to attack the woman but blamed Walker for setting the sex assault in motion by forcing her to strip.

Williams’ lawyer didn’t immediately return a request for comment on Sunday.
