4THE LAST TYCOON ON Friday, Amazon SERIES PREMIERE. Monroee Stahr ( Matt Bomer, far right) is a 1930s Hollywood executive mourning his late wife, recasting and editing terribly made movies, and learning to date again, thanks to Kathleenn Moore ( Dominique McElligott, near right), a pretty waitress with a charming Irish brogue. 5SALVATION Wednesday, 9 p.m., CBS Darius ( Santiago Cabrera) must accelerate his plan to stop the asteroid before the Pentagon shuts him down. Also, Liam ( Charlie Rowe) and Jillian ( Jacqueline Byers) reunite under surprising circumstances.
6WILL Monday, 9 p.m., TNT Marlowe ( Jamie Campbell Bower) introduces Will ( Laurie Davidson) to the decadent elite of London, but things take a macabre turn. Alice ( Olivia DeJonge) is disillusioned and Will must fight for all that he holds dear.
7SHARK WEEK Sunday-Saturday, various times, Discovery The summer’s annual terror-in-the-water festival kicks off Sunday night at 8 p.m. with Olympic record holder Michael Phelps “racing” a great white shark. Other highlights include Dr. Greg Skomal (right) getting cozy with a blue shark.
8MIDNIGHT, TEXAS Monday, 10 p.m., NBC SERIES PREMIERE. A psychic named Manfred ( François Arnaud) arrives in the town of Midnight, where he meets Fiji ( Parisa Fitz-Henley), a witch who runs the Wiccan paraphernalia shop and Lemuel ( Peter Mensah, left) a wise vampire with spooky blue contacts and a long history.
