MIAMI DOLPHINS (10-6)

-

COACH: Adam Gase (second season) BIGGEST NEWCOMERS: Former Jets general

manager Mike Tannenbaum continues to revamp the Miami roster in his third season running the Dolphins. He traded tackle Brandon Albert to the Jaguars for tight end Julius Thomas (right), hoping Thomas can recapture the form he showed in Denver. In free agency, he added linebacker Lawrence Timmons, safety Nate Allen and guard Ted Larsen to the starting lineup. First-round pick Charles

Harris will join a talented rotation of pass rushers. BIGGEST LOSSES: Miami dumped Albert in the Thomas trade, but that move should help stabilize their offensive line. Laremy Tunsil will move from left guard to his natural position left tackle in his second season. Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph departed to become the new head coach of the Broncos. CAMP OUTLOOK: The Dolphins enter Year 2 under Gase optimistic after a 10-6 season that resulted in their first playoff appearance since 2008. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is coming off a knee injury, but the Dolphins say he is fully healthy and ready to go. Tannehill looked comfortable in Gase’s system last year and should improve with another year in the system. Talented wide receiver Jarvis Landry is Tannehill’s top target. Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake lead the way on defense. The Dolphins need improvement from their linebackers, something they hope Timmons brings them. Miami has not had consecutive playoff appearances since 2000-01. HOW THEY FARED VS. JETS LAST SEASON: Dolphins swept season series, 2-0.
