CRUZ FUNNY BONIN’
Porn-tweet jokes
A red-faced Ted Cruz yukked it up over his pornvideo “like” on Twitter, joking Tuesday that the publicity over the bawdy blunder could have given him a boost on the campaign trail last year.
“Perhaps we should have done something like this during the Indiana primary,” the Texas senator cracked, referring to dropping out of the presidential race last year after losing the Hoosier State to Donald Trump.
The conservative Republican’s cheeky comments, reported by NBC News, came a day after his official personal Twitter account was caught “liking” an X-rated clip posted by @SexuallPosts.
The raunchy two-minute, 20-second video shows a blond woman pleasuring herself as she watches two people having sex on a couch. Cruz (inset), a Southern Baptist and dad of two girls, denied being behind the embarrassing “like.”
“There are a number of people on the team that have access to the account, and it appears that someone inadvertently hit the like button,” he explained. “It was a staffing issue.”
When asked whether the person responsible would be canned, Cruz hinted at forgiveness. “We’re dealing with it internally, but it was a mistake,” he said. “It was not malicious conduct.”
Meanwhile, the porn star at the center of the video learned of her newfound celebrity while dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. “So I hear I am trending with Ted Cruz. I am literally in the dark with hardly any access to the Internet world #OMG #hurricaneirma,” Cory Chase tweeted Tuesday morning.
The XXX actress, who lives in central Florida, then bashed the fact that Cruz — or at least someone associated with his account — viewed the clip gratis.
“I didn’t like that he watched it for free,” the 36year-old buxom blond told HuffPost.com. “He pirated that video. He should have paid Reality Kings for a subscription.”
Still, Chase basked in the glory of her “Moms Bang Teens 20” clip going viral. She posted a screen shot of her Twitter notifications going through the roof.
Cruz took heat during his campaign for knocking “New York values” as “socially liberal.”
